Fine Art

Is it art, is it heck!

Just because you don't understsand it or don't want to, can you dismiss it as rubbish.

How do you know if your work is any good. Well if you like it, that's all that matters.

The job of the artist is to capture someones interest, to create a reaction, an emotion.

Add lots of black shadow around the subject and close to the frame to focus the viewers eye on the subject and create atmosphere.

Close up of musicians instruments with blurred hands at work, example guitarist with blurred strumming hand.

Use high ISO to create a dreamy, grainy image.

In normal daylight set the WB to tungsten and put an orange filter in front of the flash. The background will be blue, like dusk and the main subject lit by the flash will be normal. Again a gold reflector will have a similar effect.

Create an atmospheric image with a colour cast by manually selecting the wrong WB.

Use slow sync flash to create some dreamy images of moving people.
